Soil pH also known as "soil reaction." It is acid-base reaction of soil solution. Depending on the concentration of hydrogen ions in the soil solution to pH values. the pH of the solution is equal to 7 for neutral solution; pH value of less than 7, the reaction is acidic; pH greater than 7 is alkaline reaction. Soil pH can generally be divided into the following levels:

Precautions:

if the measured point of the soil is too dry or too much fertilizer, can not measure the soil pH, the first water must be in the measurement point position, to be 30 minutes after the determination.
2, the use of measuring device before the need to use polishing cloth, in the metal absorption plate parts, completely wipe clean, to prevent the impact of the measured value. If you do not use new products, metal plate surface protective oil, must first insert the soil several times, to be removed after the use of protective oil.
3, pH measurement, the direct insertion of the test site soil, non-ferrous metal plate surface must be all buried, about 10 minutes is the correct value. Soil density, humidity and fertilizer may affect the measured value, it must be measured in different locations several times, in order to average.
